Landslide! Election Night Watch Party
November 4, 2008 – Representative Dan Branch was joined by family and supporters at the Radisson Hotel on Central Expressway to watch the returns on Election Night. Winning by 61%, or almost 12,000 votes, Rep. Branch will return to Austin to represent District 108 for a 4th term in the Texas House.

Hundreds gathered at the luncheon to see Governor Palin following her successful appearance in the Vice Presidential Debate held the previous evening.

Pearls and Pinstripes
September 2008 - Representative Dan Branch gave remarks to the professional women's networking group "Pearls & Pinstripes" at their monthly meeting at East Dallas' Times Ten Cellars. Branch spoke on the impact of women on the 2008 presidential election, as well as the importance of several women throughout the history of Dallas. Afterwards, Branch commented on the critical issues facing Texas today, and the challenges facing the next generation of leaders. |

Blondes vs. Brunettes Dallas 2008 August 2008 - Rep. Branch served as emcee of the opening ceremonies and officiated the coin toss at the start of the 1st annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Dallas Powder Puff football game. Young women from the Uptown Dallas area met at Griggs Park in Uptown for the football game after raising over $60,000 to benefit the Alzheimer's Association of Dallas, more than tripling their initial goal of $20,000.

July 2008 - Representative Dan Branch celebrated Independence Day with family and friends in and around Dallas. Branch rode in the Park Cities July 4th Parade with daughter Sarah, and later, Dan and wife, Stacey, hosted friends at a cookout.

2008 Texas Republican Party Convention
June 2008 - Representative Dan Branch traveled to Houston for the 2008 Republican Party of Texas Convention. Branch had the opportunity to open the convention by leading the Texas Republican County Chairman's Association breakfast in the U.S. and Texas pledges, and later visited with delegates from Senate Districts 16 and 23. Branch helped close out the weekend by leading the crowd in the U.S. pledge at the RPT Banquet. |
