October 2007 — Rep. Branch was joined by representatives from the League of Women Voters, Freedom of Information Foundation, Texas Press Association and Texas Association of Broadcasters to support Prop. 11 which will enshrine record votes into the Texas Constitution. Reporters take notes as Branch explains the provisions of Prop. 11. If passed by the voters, Prop. 11 would require a "yes" or "no" vote to be recorded by each member of the legislature on final passage of all non-ceremonial legislation. The votes would be posted in the journal and on the Internet for at least two years.
