SMU Football Honorary Team Captain November 2007 Rep. Dan Branch served as honorary team captain for the SMU Mustangs as they hosted the University of Central Florida in their last home game of the 2007 season. Mustang fans ready to welcome their team to the field.

Rep. Branch handles SMU's live mascot, Peruna XIII. The pony has served as mascot since the 1997 season, and is the eighth mascot in University history. Branch was joined by SMU VP Brad Cheeves (far right) and Peruna handler Brian Schnider (left).
