Select Committee Hears Testimony on Funding 21st century Classrooms in Texas February 2008 The House Select Committee on Higher & Public Edcuation Finance met in conjunction with the Texas Computer Education Association's annual convention to investigate various revenue sources and effective uses of the Texas technology allotment to fund innovations in classroom technology. The Texas Computer Education Association is the largest state organization devoted to the use of technology in education.

Select Committee members heard testimony from industry experts regarding Texans' investment in educational technology, and how schools in other states and countries use innovative hardware and software to produce better prepared students.
