A lifelong fiscal and social conservative with a proven record fighting for Texas and getting results, Dan Branch is running for Texas Attorney General to defend the Constitution and protect the Texas Miracle from Washington’s overreach.
Since 2003, Dan has served in the Texas House, where he led the way in balancing six straight budgets without raising taxes, passing the largest tax cut in Texas history, and championing landmark pro-life legislation. These efforts have made the Lone Star State a beacon of freedom and prosperity while consistently leading the nation in job creation.
Dan promises to continue the efforts of Attorney General Abbott to protect Texas liberties by fighting the federal intrusions of President Obama and his allies in Washington. Dan is committed to relentlessly standing up to Washington, stopping President Obama’s assault on our freedoms and ending this Administration’s war on conservative Texas values.
There is one key office that stands up for the Constitution, the 10th Amendment and the right of Texas to control her own destiny: the Office of Attorney General. I plan on making the case far and wide that we need an advocate that will, whenever warranted, courageously fight against federal overreach to enable Texans the freedom to seek their own innovative solutions. – Dan Branch
In addition to his service in the Legislature, Dan is a successful attorney in Dallas. He is a former judicial clerk to Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Jack Pope, a former aide to the late U.S. Senator John Tower, and proudly served on the re-election campaign of President Ronald Reagan.
Dan is a graduate of the SMU School of Law and holds two undergraduate degrees from Oklahoma Christian University. A devoted family man, Dan and wife Stacey have been married for over 29 years, have five children, and attend Preston Road Church of Christ.
